Own Mixture No.88 is the English-style member of the Ilsted line. Turkish-Oriental leaf and Latakia are added atop a Virginia-and-Burley base. The Oriental brings a subtle spiciness and a dry, herbal sharpness, while the Latakia lays a light smoky base in the background; the blend is more measured than heavy Latakia mixtures. It suits smokers wanting to move from aromatic toward English blends, or looking for a lightly smoky tobacco that can be smoked all day.
