Virginia Plug

Virginia Plug is the unflavored Virginia member of the Ilsted line. The leaf is pressed into a block and presented as a plug; it needs to be sliced and rubbed out before smoking, but in return the long pressing gives a slow, cool burn and lets the Virginia's hay-and-bread sweetness deepen. It carries no coating or flavoring. It's aimed at smokers who enjoy working with pressed leaf and want a plain Virginia taste. Records indicate it has been on the market since 2014, produced by Kopp Tobaccos in Germany; it appears to have been out of stock at retailers for a long time.
