Century

Century is a limited-run English mixture from J. F. Germain & Son. It's made up of Cyprus Latakia, spicy Oriental leaves, and flue-cured Virginia that retains its natural sweetness. Latakia builds a smoky, leathery backbone, while the Oriental gives a sharp spiciness and the Virginia a bready sweetness in the background.

Because it was a limited production, it has been withdrawn from the market, and today only old tins circulate hand to hand. It suits smokers accustomed to traditional Latakia mixtures, looking for an unflavored, smoky profile. The Germain family has produced tobacco on the island of Jersey since 1820, and releases such periodic blends under its own name.
