Full Latakia

Full Latakia is, as its name states, a product made up almost entirely of Cyprus Latakia. After cutting, the Latakia is cured by prolonged exposure to wood-fire smoke in enclosed spaces; this process gives the leaf a heavy aroma evoking leather, smoke, and tar, along with pronounced smokiness. Germain tins the leaf at a moisture level that keeps it cool while smoking.

In practice, this tobacco is mostly used not on its own but added in small amounts to darken other blends; smoked alone, its flavor intensity is very high, while its nicotine effect is moderate. It's aimed at smokers who blend their own mixtures or want to make ready-made English mixtures smokier. It's available in 50-gram tins and in bulk.
