Sakura

Sakura is a blend in Ken Byron Ventures' aromatic line, named after the Japanese cherry blossom. Per the maker's description, cherry blossom and fruit notes are worked into a base of red Virginia, Oriental, and Cavendish leaf. The casing's direction departs from classic cherry aromatics: what dominates is not ripe cherry sugar but a floral, lightly perfumed top note.

The red Virginia lends breadlike sweetness, the Oriental leaf a dry, lightly spiced edge, and the Cavendish a soft body with a moist smoke. Nicotine is low and flavor intensity moderate. Suited to aromatic smokers who don't want the casing to fully bury the tobacco, and who are after a floral, restrained cherry character.
