Maiway

Maiway is an aromatic pipe tobacco from the German house Kleinlagel, offered in a 50-gram tin. Its body is built from Virginia leaves; the casing the blend's name comes from is an essence of woodruff, called Waldmeister in German. Since this casing gives a vanilla-like sweet, herbaceous tone, the blend is shown in retailer records as light in strength and sweetish in taste.

The cut is a fine strand suited to packing directly from the tin, requiring no preparation. Since nicotine load is low, it suits all-day smoking and fits the roster of those new to aromatic tobacco. Records indicate the blend has been delisted from production and is now seen only in old stock.
