Seegar

Seegar is one of six blends in Hamburg-based Kohlhase & Kopp's Caribbean Blue line. The series consists of Danish-style aromatics named after pirates and privateer-commissioned sailors, built on tropical tastes and scents. Seegar's body is formed by Virginia leaves and cavendish, with a small amount of Cyprus latakia added on top. On the casing side, tonka bean, citrus, rum and caramel come forward.

The presence of latakia sets it apart from purely sweet aromatics: a light smoke and woody depth joins the syrupy sweetness. Since it stays measured in nicotine, it's suited to all-day smoking. A blend designed for those who love Danish-style aromatics but want a smoky undertone rather than a purely sweet profile. Kohlhase & Kopp was founded by Michael Kohlhase in 1976 and took its current name in 1979 when Bernd Kopp joined.
