Ser Jacopo Scottish Mixture

Ser Jacopo Scottish Mixture is the Scottish-style member of the threefold series Kohlhase & Kopp prepared in Germany for Ser Jacopo. Orange and red Virginia leaves form the base; a small latakia share is added along with oriental tobaccos. A pinch of perique rounding out the series adds a peppery, dried-plum sharpness to the blend. The Scotch whisky casing applied on top is pronounced at the finish.

The result is a medium-bodied mixture where latakia doesn't dominate, and the orientals' dry tanginess and perique's spice come forward. Sources note the blend is a close relative in character to the same series' English Mixture; the main difference is set by the perique and oriental proportion. Aimed at smokers who like Virginia-based, lightly smoky and spicy mixtures and don't mind the presence of casing.
