Tabak-No. 8

Kontor-Tabak No. 8 belongs to Leipzig-based Tabak-Kontor's natural, unflavored blend line. Its weight rests on the pairing of Oriental tobacco and Virginia; the blend also contains Kentucky, Perique and a small amount of Latakia.

The smoke is soft and sweet, burning slowly with a structure that doesn't leave tongue bite. Since latakia proportion is kept low, smoky tones aren't dominant; the blend's character is defined by oriental notes. Strength increases somewhat toward the end of the bowl. An entry-level record for smokers who keep their distance from latakia-laden blends but are curious about unflavored mixture tobacco.
