Captain Black Cherry

Captain Black Cherry is the brand's cherry-cased member. Per the manufacturer's description, it's built from matured wide-cut burley, bright Virginia and toasted black cavendish leaves; a pronounced cherry casing is applied on top. The cut is ribbon, and it's offered in both pouch and tin packaging.

Nicotine is low, the smoke is cool and flat; the cherry casing is pronounced enough to override the tobacco character. A blend for newcomers to pipes or those seeking a familiar, single-note sweet aromatic. The Captain Black line has been in production since 1956 and became a product of the Scandinavian Tobacco Group when Lane Limited joined that group in 2011.
