Good Old Summer-Time

Good Old Summer-Time is a Virginia-burley pipe tobacco sold by Liggett & Myers, one of the major US tobacco manufacturers, in large eight-ounce tins during the first half of the twentieth century. Virginia leaf gives a grassy, sugary base while burley builds a roasted, earthy, woody one; records indicate old tins also carry a light smoky note from processing or aging.

It belongs to the period's class of cheap, everyday American pipe tobaccos and today is found only in collector tins. The brand has long been out of production.
