Waccamaw

Waccamaw is a Virginia-perique flake Cornell & Diehl produces for Low Country Pipe and Cigar. Light-colored leaf grown in the region forms the base of the blend; red Virginia provides sweetness and texture, while perique and a pinch of Izmir oriental add depth. It's pressed into flake form and rubbed before packing.

It's medium in strength and medium-bodied. In the smoke, the bright sweetness of the light Virginia rides atop a bready, filling base; the earthy spice from perique and oriental adds complexity to the blend. It contains no flavor casing. Suited to those seeking a Virginia-based, unflavored flake to smoke all day.
