Amphora Golden

Amphora is a pipe tobacco brand with roots in the Netherlands, now produced under Danish Mac Baren. The Golden Blend member of the Amphora line is a pre-rubbed (ready rubbed) blend where matured burley leaves are forward, with a small amount of golden Virginia added.

Casing is kept very limited; the taste largely comes from the natural tobacco. Over a nutty, grainy body there's a fine citrus note. It burns clean and dry, with the character staying fairly consistent from the start to the end of the bowl; it lights easily. A blend suited to smokers seeking a burley-centered, unpretentious tobacco to smoke all day.
