HH Burley Flake

HH Burley Flake is the burley-centered member of the HH line Mac Baren launched in 2006, named after the initials of founder Harald Halberg. Burley leaves gathered from three continents form the body of the blend, accompanied by mature Virginias and a small amount of fire-cured Kentucky. The leaves are pressed into a block and sliced into flake form. As with the rest of the series, casing is kept to a minimum and no top flavor is used.

In the smoke, nutty, earthy and woody burley notes lead; the Virginias play a balancing role in the background with a tangy ripe-fruit sweetness, while the Kentucky adds spicy, smoky depth. The nicotine load is notable, making it suited to experienced smokers seeking burley character and a filling body. Since the flake burns slowly, it suits those accustomed to rubbing and drying before packing.
