HH Pure Virginia

HH Pure Virginia, as its name suggests, is a flake made solely from Virginia leaves. Top grades of red and light-colored Virginias sourced from North America and Brazil are matured through hot pressing; this process fuses the leaves' flavors and gives the blend a light fermented sweetness. Like the rest of the HH series, casing is minimal and it carries no top flavor.

In the smoke, the red Virginia's tangy sweetness, reminiscent of dried dark fruit, moves alongside the light leaf's grass, hay and citrus tones, while the brown Virginia adds an earthy sweetness. The slices crumble easily, and moisture is at a level suited to smoking. Nicotine load is moderate. Suited to those wanting to know unflavored Virginia character in its plain form and those seeking a mild flake to smoke throughout the day; its tin also suits cellaring.
