Navy Mixture is Mac Baren's presentation of the Navy line in mixed cut. Per the maker, over thirty raw leaves are used; the tin holds ready-rubbed processed Virginia and Burley, loose-cut Virginia, Burley, the brand's own Cavendish, and small flake pieces together. Having different cuts together lets the burn proceed slow and cool.

In the smoke, Virginia's sweetness and Burley's nutty dryness proceed together, with Cavendish adding roundness; the rum-leaning top note typical of the Navy tradition stays at a level that doesn't mask the tobacco taste.
