Raw Classic

Raw Classic is the flagship product in Mac Baren's Raw series, built on unflavored tobacco. The blend is prepared from high-natural-sugar Virginia and North Carolina leaves; leaf from Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina regions is added to give the taste depth. The leaves are hand-selected, hand-destemmed, and naturally air-cured in curing barns using a centuries-old method.

The product is presented as containing no flavoring and packaged at a maximum fifteen percent moisture; cut length and thickness are adjusted separately for each batch. Owing to its fine cut, it suits both rolling and pipe use. The taste comes entirely from the Virginia leaf's own sugar and hay-like dryness; aimed not at smokers seeking flavoring but at those wanting the bare tobacco taste.
