Scaferlati Caporal Vert

Vert is the light end of the Scaferlati Caporal series. The series, one of the classic names in French pipe smoking, was long produced by Seita and is continued today under the Mac Baren umbrella. The blend combines dark-fire-cured Kentucky with bright Virginia leaf; it's loose cut, and no flavoring is applied.

Compared to the Bleu and red-labeled releases, it gives a lower-nicotine, milder smoke; records position it within the series as the reduced-nicotine release. The taste is dry, earthy, and lightly spiced, with no sweetness sought. Suited to those curious about unflavored French-style tobacco who don't want a full blend's nicotine load, and to daytime use.
