St. Bruno is an English classic created by Thomas Ogden in Liverpool in the 1890s. Its production was taken over by Mac Baren starting in 2006, and the brand transferred fully to this company in 2015. The blend's body is built by mild Virginia leaves and dark-fire-cured Kentucky; the mixture is steam-pressed and cut into thin slices. The topping applied over it is a floral-and-fruit sauce tied to English Lakeland tradition; rose geranium and tonka are two well-known components of this style.

In the smoke, the flavoring's floral side and Kentucky's smoky, dry body sit side by side; the balance between the two is the blend's defining trait. The flake burns slow and cool, giving a long smoke; the taste intensifies especially past the middle of the bowl. Nicotine load isn't to be taken lightly. A historical reference point for smokers interested in the Lakeland style and pressed English tobaccos.
