Three Nuns Green is one of the branches of the Three Nuns name, dating back to the 19th century, continued by Mac Baren. It's prepared per the curly-cut tradition: the interior holds Virginia, dark-fire-cured Kentucky, and Perique, with hand-selected Virginia leaves used as the outer wrap; the rope is sliced and presented as spiral-patterned coins.
In taste, Virginia's natural sweetness and herbal, citrusy tang form the base; Kentucky adds a smoky, dry woodiness, while the Perique adds depth with plum and spice tones.
