2009 Holiday Spirit

Holiday Spirit is a member of the aromatic series McClelland began in 2008 and released in limited numbers each year for the holiday season; the 2009 release is the second entry in this tradition. The series' basic structure rests on a trio of nutty Burley, tangy Virginia, and black Cavendish; this base is flavored with dark rum, walnut praline, and cocoa aroma.

On opening the tin, chocolate and sugared walnut aroma stand out, followed by the rum's tone. The smoke is mild and low in nicotine. As with the series generally, the cut is irregular, with leaf pieces of different sizes mixed together. Prepared for smokers seeking sweet, non-spiced aromatics typical of the holiday season. Since McClelland stopped production in 2018, the series is no longer made.
