2017 Holiday Spirit

Holiday Spirit is the name of McClelland's aromatic series released each year for the holiday season; the 2017 release is among the last batches right before the brand's closure. It's a ribbon-cut blend prepared by giving dark-rum, pecan, and cocoa notes over nutty Burley, sweet Virginia, and black Cavendish.

With its medium-light nicotine level and pronounced sweetness, it's a structure suited both to smokers used to aromatic blends and those new to the pipe. The tin note and room note lean sweet; it contains no sharp components like Latakia or Perique. McClelland was founded in Kansas City in 1977 and stopped production in 2018, so the blend is found only in old stock.
