3 Oaks Syrian

3 Oaks Syrian is a blend McClelland built around Syrian Latakia. The blend's original recipe was prepared by Tad Gage for a tobacconist near Kansas City, and McClelland produced it to this recipe starting in 2009. What sets it apart from Three Oaks Original, the same series' Latakia-free/Cyprian-Latakia version, is that it's rebuilt around Syrian Latakia, which gives a milder, less sharp smoke.

Its contents hold Syrian Latakia, sweet Oriental tobaccos, and aged Virginia. The coarsely cut ribbon-form tobacco consists of a mix of brown, bronze, and black leaves, with moisture at a level smokable straight out of the tin. The woody-sooty side of the Latakia smoke is balanced by the Virginia's sweetness; a blend designed for smokers used to Latakia who seek the taste of classic Syrian-Latakia mixtures. Withdrawn from the market when McClelland stopped production in 2018.
