Black Tie

Black Tie is a blend in McClelland's Piper's Choice series, released, per records, in 2014. It consists of Virginia, Perique, and black Cavendish; the Cavendish gives the blend a light sweetness, while the Perique sets the balance with its plum-and-spice character.

It's a structure bridging aromatic and unflavored blends: sweetness is measured, and the tin note is close to neutral and lightly sweet. It comes out of the tin at a smokable moisture and lights easily. Suited to smokers seeking a Virginia-Perique structure with a mild sweetness who want an all-day blend.
