Celebrated Sovereign

Celebrated Sovereign is an English-type blend in the Revival series McClelland produced for Ashton. Records indicate its contents hold Syrian Latakia, an Oriental tobacco known as Dubec, black Cavendish, and Carolina and red Virginia.

Syrian Latakia gives a milder, more spiced smokiness than Cyprian Latakia; the Cavendish and Virginia build a sweet base beneath this smoky layer. Suited to smokers who love Latakia-forward blends but want a rounder profile rather than a sharp smokiness. Since Syrian Latakia supply became difficult and the brand halted production in 2018, it's found only in old stock.
