Christmas Cheer 1994

Christmas Cheer 1994 is the third tin in McClelland's annual Virginia series. Per its label, it's prepared from select mature, mottled lemon-orange-colored Carolina leaves of the 1991 Middle Belt harvest. Unflavored flue-cured Virginia is pressed and presented as broken flake.

As expected of light-colored Virginias, sweetness and citrusy tang lead; it gives a brighter profile than years with dark red harvests. No flavoring is used, and nicotine is medium. Since the series is explicitly made for cellaring, the leaf's sugars are expected to mature with age; suited to smokers used to unflavored Virginia and flake smoking.
