Classic Samsun

Classic Samsun belongs to McClelland's Grand Orientals series, which spotlights single-varietal Oriental leaf, and takes its name from Samsun tobacco. It's an unflavored blend; the cut is kept coarse and it's offered in small 50-gram tins.

In the smoke, the cigarette-like line typical of Turkish tobacco is pronounced, joined by the familiar tangy-sweet aroma of McClelland leaves. Strength stays light to medium, and packing and lighting are trouble-free. Records indicate the moisture and flavors settle a few days after the tin is opened. A suitable blend for smokers wanting to get to know Oriental leaf on its own. The brand stopped production in 2018.
