CPCC New Century

New Century is a medium-bodied, Balkan-line mixture McClelland prepared for the Chicagoland Pipe Collectors Club. The blend's backbone is built from air-cured, small-leaved Oriental tobaccos, Basma included among them. These are joined by Virginia's tangy sharpness and a measured proportion of Cyprian Latakia.

As a result, the blend offers a Balkan profile in which the Oriental tobaccos lead, rather than a classic English mixture where Latakia dominates: within a spicy, dry, faintly resinous taste frame, the smoke plays a secondary role. Nicotine dose is medium. Aimed at smokers interested in Oriental-forward mixtures who want the smoke as a frame rather than a dominant element; being a club blend, its distribution stayed limited.
