CPCC Scottish Woods

Scottish Woods is a Scottish-style mixture McClelland produced for the Chicagoland Pipe Collectors Club. Cyprian Latakia gives the blend a pronounced soot-and-smoke line; Oriental leaves add a lively spice, while matured Virginias provide the sweetness. The element that carries the blend into Scottish style is the addition of steam-processed (stoved) black Virginia, commonly known in Europe as black Cavendish.

This structure builds a rounder, sweeter base than Latakia-forward English mixtures; no flavoring is used. A blend aimed at smokers who like smoky mixtures but want a sweet undertone rather than sharpness. The maker ceased operations in early 2018.
