Deep Hollow

Deep Hollow is one of McClelland's Virginia-based aromatics. Its base holds red Virginia and steam-processed (stoved) black Virginia; a light topping in the direction of apple and vanilla is applied over it. The name comes from Deephallow, a settlement in J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional geography.

Despite being an aromatic, its moisture is measured; it burns cool and clean, with low tendency to bite the tongue. While the flavoring gives a pronounced caramel sweetness, the tobacco's own Virginia line can still be read in the smoke, making the blend a followable aromatic even for smokers used to unflavored mixtures. Body is light and nicotine dose stays low. The maker halted production in early 2018.
