GKCPC Boston 1776

Boston 1776 is an unflavored flake blend made from Virginia leaves. Red, lemon, and orange-toned Virginias are matured for years through natural summer sweating cycles and then pressed into cakes under heavy pressure before being sliced; this process lets the flavors meld and the sugars concentrate. In the smoke, lemony tang, dried fruit, and a bready base can be heard.

The blend was introduced in 1993 as a club release, and after 2008 was reissued by McClelland on behalf of the Greater Kansas City Pipe Club under its Club Blends series. A product for those interested in unflavored Virginia and aging; discontinued when McClelland closed in 2018.
