GKCPC English Woods

English Woods is a Balkan-style blend in the selection McClelland prepared on behalf of the Greater Kansas City Pipe Club. Its composition holds bright-grade Virginia leaves, small-leaved Basma-type Oriental tobacco, and Cyprian Latakia. The Latakia builds the smoky frame, the Basma adds a dry, spicy sharpness, and the Virginia provides the sweet base.

The blend is kept one notch below fully loaded Balkan mixtures in terms of Latakia proportion, making it a smokable range even for those new to smoky tobaccos. Its unflavored structure and ribbon cut make it a consistent-burning mixture suited to any hour of the day. Like the other blends in the GKCPC selection, it circulated in limited numbers to benefit the club, and production ended when McClelland closed in 2018.
