Katerini Classic

Katerini Classic is a member of McClelland's Grand Orientals series, which spotlights single-region Orientals. Oriental leaf grown in Greece's Katerini district, supported by a small amount of Virginia, is presented as ribbon cut; no flavoring is used. In the smoke, a deep, fine sweetness can be heard, along with a cigarette-like line and a spicy texture reminiscent of olive oil.

It's related to Samsun and Black Sea Orientals, which come from the same seed stock grown in different regions; records indicate it draws a lighter body than those. A product for those wanting to get to know a single Oriental variety's character. Discontinued when McClelland closed in 2018.
