TGL - Toasted Cavendish Latakia

TGL is one of the blends McClelland sold in bulk. Toasted Cavendish is joined by Burley, golden Virginia, and a small amount of Cyprian Latakia, building a sweet but full-bodied smoke. Since the Latakia share is kept low, the blend doesn't take on an English mixture's sootiness; the smoky note remains only a background balancing the sweetness.

The blend sits close in structure to the discontinued Lane HGL: the same toasted Cavendish, Burley, and Virginia joined by measured Latakia. It lights easily, burning cool and slow; nicotine level runs below or in the middle of medium. Suited to those who like a sweet Cavendish base but want a bit of smoke alongside it. McClelland closed in 2018, so the blend isn't produced anymore.
