Tudor Castle (Collector Series)

Tudor Castle is a blend McClelland released under its Collector Series heading, adding Oriental tobacco and Perique to a Virginia base. It's ribbon cut. The brand's characteristic sweet-tart character is pronounced here too; Yenice-sourced Oriental leaf adds a sweet-spiced richness to the smoke, while Perique sets a measured firmness against the sweetness.

Packing and lighting are effortless, requiring no special technique. Nicotine level is medium, and the balance between body and sweetness is the blend's defining feature. Suited to those who get along with Perique-containing Virginia blends and want an unflavored, true tobacco taste. Discontinued with McClelland's 2018 closure.
