Yenice Agonya (Grand Orientals)

Yenice Agonya is one of the Grand Orientals series entries where McClelland spotlights a single-region tobacco. The blend's backbone is Oriental leaf grown in the Yenice district of Çanakkale, with Virginia in a supporting role; the cut is ribbon. On opening the tin, the brand's characteristic tangy aroma is noticeable; the tobacco's moisture is smokable straight away, and a brief airing settles the sweet-tart side.

The smoke is extremely mild and cool, moving between Yenice's unobtrusive spiciness and a sweet-tart flavor. It lights easily and resists overheating, though bowls burn down quickly. The ash is soft and the chamber cleans up easily. Suited to hours calling for a light smoke, like the morning, and to those curious about Oriental tobacco taste in its plain form.
