Yenidje Supreme

Yenidje Supreme is the blend in which McClelland's Grand Orientals series presents Yenidje leaf without Latakia. Yenidje, from Western Thrace and known in pipe circles as "the queen of tobaccos," is joined by matured Virginia. The Latakia version of the same leaf is named Yenidje Highlander; both blends were discontinued when the company closed in 2018.

The smoke is mild and cool; the flavor runs along a floral-herbal line reminiscent of incense, with no sharp or medicinal edge, and the sweetness from the Virginia stays measured. Suited to smokers who want to hear the Oriental leaf's own character unmasked, and who lean toward light-to-medium-bodied blends.
