Moorsgate

Moorsgate is McCranie's English blend built with a low Latakia share. Per the shop's recipe, it's based on light Oriental leaves and matured Virginias that build a mild, sweet body, with Latakia added over them only in a small proportion. As a result, the smoky note stays in the background rather than covering the blend.

This structure makes it a middle step for smokers who want the English blends' smoky character without a heavy Latakia dose. Since it carries no flavoring, the sweetness comes from the Virginia's own sugar; the Oriental leaf adds a tangy-spiced edge too. It's positioned as a starting point for those wanting to move from aromatic blends toward the English side.
