Jefferson Street

Jefferson Street is one of the house blends Roanoke, Virginia-based Milan Tobacconists sells under its own name. A sliced burley-forward body is joined by some Turkish tobacco and cavendish, topped with a sauce evoking rum and raisin. It gives a medium-strength, nutty, sweetish profile.

Because it combines burley's dry, nutty base with a light aromatic dressing, it's a fitting option for smokers who avoid heavily sugared aromatics but aren't drawn to fully unflavored blends either. The blend's name comes from South Jefferson Street, where the shop has stood since 1912.
