Joe's Blend

Joe's Blend is a house blend linked to Joe, the eldest son of Milan Tobacconists founder J. H. Milan. Records indicate Joe created his own mixture in the 1950s; the recipe sold today is a new formulation carrying that name. It combines a small amount of latakia with burley and virginia leaves.

Since the latakia share is kept low, it sits at the light end of English mixtures; per the maker's description it gives a soft, satisfying, lightly sweet smoke with notes of walnut, hickory, and a measured spice. Suitable for those newly moving into English mixtures or smokers who want the smokiness kept in the background.
