Twist & Sea

Twist & Sea belongs to the limited-production rested twist line of the Motzek workshop. It is made entirely from Virginia leaf: the leaf is first matured for three to five years, then held for about six months in a plant-and-spice liquid based on an old recipe, hand-twisted into small batches, and rested for another six months. Rose petals, which can be loaded along with the tobacco, are placed inside the pack.

In the taste, rounded notes reminiscent of straw and dry hay stand out along with a full sweetness and a light lemony quality; after airing for a few weeks, the fine floral layer typical of rested tobaccos emerges. Strength sits in the light-to-medium band, and it burns cool and clean. Suitable for smokers accustomed to cutting twists who are looking for a matured version of unflavored virginia; production is limited to small batches with each release.
