Vikings Hair

Vikings Hair is a straight virginia blend produced by the Kiel-based TAK (Tabak aus Kiel) workshop. According to the maker's recipe, strong virginia leaves in red and orange tones are aged and then pressed with a bit of Barbados rum; the resulting block is presented as broken flake. Here the casing doesn't build a dominant flavor layer but stays a subtle touch framing the leaf's own sweetness. The workshop states it uses nothing but sugar, salt, water, honey, vinegar, heat, and cold in processing its tobaccos.
