VP Plug No. 3 is a plug blend from the Kiel-based TAK workshop, built on virginia and perique and rounded out with a pinch of kentucky. The tightly pressed block is prepared by slicing it with a sharp knife and cutting it into cubes or fine shreds. There is no flavoring; the taste is earthy and direct, with perique's spice sitting over Virginia's sweetness.
