Black Cordial Cavendish

Black Cordial is a cavendish mixture prepared under the Century house of American-style bulk blends, sold by weight from the jar at English tobacconists. Sweet Virginia leaves are combined with black cavendish, topped with a sharp, sweet sauce reminiscent of fruit syrup. When British tobacco naming rules changed in 2017, the product also began appearing on shelves under the name Black Cord.

Nicotine is low, the smoke cool and distinctly sugary; because the sauce is heavy, it tends to leave a residue inside the pipe. Suited to smokers who like sugar-loaded, single-note aromatics and want a light smoke throughout the day.
