Hell's Kitchen

Hell's Kitchen represents the Balkan style among the club blends prepared for the New York Pipe Club. In keeping with the club's general approach, no flavor casing is used; the taste comes entirely from leaf selection: Virginia forms the base, while Latakia and Oriental leaf give it its identity. It takes its name from the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood on Manhattan's west side.

In the smoke, Latakia's smokiness is kept restrained, allowing the Oriental leaf's tangy, spicy side to come forward — setting the blend apart from heavy English recipes and closer to the Balkan line. Given its layered structure, it suits smokers looking for nuance in smoky blends rather than those new to Latakia.
