No. 23 Blackberry Brandy is one of the fruity aromatics in the Newminster line. Its base contains Mexican air-cured burley along with Brazilian and US fire-cured virginia leaves; a portion of these is converted to black cavendish. The top casing combines blackberry's fruity sweetness with brandy's sharp note. The cut is a mix of loose shag and cake cuts, and the tobacco is moist but not sticky.
The smoke stays cool; the blackberry note holds from the start of the bowl to the end, with a nutty, creamy base from the burley perceptible in the background. Given its pronounced casing, this tobacco naturally leaves a scent behind; it is commonly smoked in a pipe or corn cob set aside for fruity aromatics. Suitable for smokers looking for a fruity, sweet aromatic.
