Third Cousins

Third Cousins is one of Niall of Nine's blends that combines aged cigar leaf stock with pipe tobacco. Records indicate it is built from King Edward cigarillo leaf dating to the 1960s, joined by 2020-harvest red and stoved Virginias, topped with a small amount of 2012 St. James Parish perique.

The cigar leaf gives the blend a dark body leaning toward leather and earth, while stoved Virginia gives a dark sweetness in the direction of fig and molasses; perique steps in with a small dose of spice and plum notes. It's a full-bodied tobacco in nicotine terms and appeals to smokers who smoke cigars but also want an intense leaf in a pipe. It was produced in limited numbers in vacuum-sealed jars.
