Erik's Reserve

Erik's Reserve sits on the unflavored wing of the tobacco line bearing the name of Danish pipemaster Erik Nørding. Rested Virginia and burley leaves have a small amount of black cavendish added to bind the blend together; no flavoring is applied beyond that. It's offered in a 50-gram tin as a light-colored flake close to Danish tradition.

Virginia's doughy, herbal sweetness is balanced by burley's earthy, nutty body; cavendish leaves a light sweetness in the background. With a nicotine strength running from light to medium, it gives a cool, non-biting smoke; since it can come a bit moist out of the tin, a short drying period before lighting is needed. It suits smokers newly moving into unflavored Virginia-burley character, or those wanting a flake that doesn't tire them out through the day.
