Pointer (Hunter 2025)

Pointer is the straight Virginia member of Nørding's Hunter (Hunting) series, named after hunting dog breeds. The line was blended for the Danish-origin brand's name by American manufacturer Cornell & Diehl. It contains no other leaf type; only flame-cured red and light-yellow Virginia leaves are used. It is ribbon cut. Part of the blend is prepared with toasted leaf and part with untoasted leaf, balanced together.

The baked sweetness from red Virginia and the tart, herbal sharpness from light Virginia run intertwined; a citrus-leaning top note and a full mouthfeel are reported. In nicotine terms it stays below medium, making it the kind smokable all day. It suits those wanting to get to know unflavored Virginia's natural sugar in a straightforward form, and newcomers to the type.
