Hajenius 759 is a Balkan mixture from the "My Own Blend" house line of P.G.C. Hajenius, the Amsterdam tobacconist open since 1826. Records indicate the blend was built to replace the discontinued Balkan Sobranie: generous Cyprian latakia, spicy oriental leaves, and the Virginia body carrying them all sit together. It is ribbon cut and typically sold in hundred-gram tins.
The smoke follows a smoky, leather-and-wood-leaning, unflavored, full line; latakia stays up front, though Virginia's sweetness lingers all the way to the end. It's aimed at pipe smokers accustomed to Balkan and English mixtures who want a satisfying midday or evening smoke; it would be heavy going for someone starting out with aromatic tobacco.
